Services We Offer

Head Start and Washington’s Early Childhood Education Assistance Program: Children learn through play. At Lewis-Clark Early Childhood Program, your 3- or 4-year-old will be encouraged to learn about the world around them by discovering, exploring and experimenting with new things every day.

Children with special needs are included in all regular classroom activities; special services are provided, individually and in small groups, by local early intervention specialists, school district staff and other partner agencies.

We eat healthy! Your child will receive at least two USDA-approved meals during their time with us.

You get to help! Your child will spend three or four days a week with us, and we want to include you as much as possible.  To help keep us all (parents, children and teachers) on the same page, we ask that you come to class with your child at least twice a month.  We also visit with you and your child at home so that appropriate developmental goals can be defined where children and families are most comfortable.

Early Head Start: Parenthood is exciting, but it can also be overwhelming, even before your baby arrives.

What should you be eating while you are pregnant? When can your baby begin eating rice cereal? Should your son or daughter be crawling yet? Where can you find someone responsible to care for your child when you go to work or school?

LCECP’s Early Head Start is here to help you, as an expectant or new parent, learn about the resources that are available to help before and after the birth of your child. The staff in your center can help with referrals for:

  • Prenatal care to ensure that both you and your unborn child are healthy
  • Postnatal care to help as you and your new baby adjust to life together
  • Medical services to keep your child, infant to 3 years old healthy and growing
  • Affordable, safe childcare to help you make time for work or school
  • Developmental evaluations that will help you set and achieve appropriate goals for your child
  • Parenting support that can help you make the best decisions for your family
