We Are:

| THE ORGANIZATION |
The Lewis-Clark Early Childhood Program (LCECP) is
a private non-profit organization, which serves the
Southeastern Washington
and North Central Idaho areas. Its primary purpose is to provide early
childhood education and family support services for limited income
families through our Head Start (HS), Early Head Start (EHS), Washington
Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program (ECEAP) and
Idaho
funded Home-Based Program. |

MISSION
STATEMENT
|
The mission of Lewis-Clark Early Childhood Program
is to strengthen families and prepare children for lifelong learning
through the combined efforts of staff, parents and the community. |

| VISION STATEMENT |
Lewis-Clark Early
Childhood Program’s vision is to be an active participant in promoting
a society and community where families and children have optimal
opportunities to learn, develop and share those skills, attitudes and
attributes that help assure lifelong learning, health, safety,
independence, happiness and personal success.

| PHILOSOPHY
STATEMENT |
Lewis-Clark
Early Childhood Program subscribes to a belief that healthy families and
children are the most basic elements in any viable, productive society
or community. Our Program’s efforts are guided by the belief that
“We’re here to do what’s best for families and children.”
We keep this belief foremost in our minds to guide our decisions.

Lewis-Clark
Early Childhood Program values the unique individuality of each person
and the cultural differences that make our community and organization
distinctive. We aspire to “treat everyone with unconditional, positive
regard.” We believe that through cooperation and teamwork we can
accomplish far more than anyone or all of us working independently.

Lewis-Clark Early Childhood Program’s overall goal is to
strengthen the organization's ability to respond to the unique
needs of each of our communities, enabling us to continue to
provide high quality services which are well-rounded,
individualized, and developmentally appropriate for pregnant
women, children, and families. |
